Two men are facing felony charges after allegedly threatening two 17-year-olds with a loaded assault rifle during a dispute that arose from a basketball game in Bloomington. The incident unfolded on July 30, when the teens were playing 2-on-2 basketball inside a nonprofit facility called The Warehouse, where escalating tensions led to threats of violence.
According to police reports, the confrontation escalated after the teens exited the facility, leading to one of the suspects aiming a rifle at one of the teens’ heads and making threats to kill him. The suspects, ages 20 and 26, later admitted to their involvement in the incident, with the younger man claiming the rifle belonged to him and was loaded.
