The Thunder Bay Police Service has apprehended a 39-year-old woman in connection with two armed robbery incidents at the same convenience store just days apart. The first robbery occurred on June 24, when the suspect allegedly threatened a staff member with a weapon while stealing merchandise. The investigation revealed she had committed a similar act at the same location the day before, prompting police involvement from their break, enter, and robbery unit.
Officers located the suspect on Windsor Street and arrested her on Thursday, July 17. Following her arrest, she faced two charges of robbery with a weapon and appeared in court the next day, where she was remanded into custody pending further proceedings. This string of offenses raises concerns about repeat criminal behavior in local businesses and the community’s safety.
