Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies capture 19-year-old Daniel Spielman in Hedgesville on June 9, as he becomes the prime suspect in a Morgan County armed robbery case dating back to February 10. Spielman was found in a camper and taken into custody without incident, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the robbery where victims were threatened at gunpoint and robbed of $1,900 cash and a smartphone.
The robbery occurred near the Maryland Lane boat ramp, where victims reported being approached by two men, one of whom wielded a silver pistol. Following the incident, victims identified Spielman through a photo line-up, leading to his arrest. He remains incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail with a bond set at $100,000 on two charges of armed robbery.
