An armed robbery suspect, Deshawn Isaiah Donson, is in custody after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in Escambia County, Florida. The arrest followed an incident at a Raceway convenience store on Airport Boulevard, where surveillance footage reportedly captured Donson committing an armed robbery late Sunday night.
The chase concluded when a deputy rammed Donson’s vehicle in the West Florida Hospital parking lot, where investigators discovered a gun and a bag filled with cash. Sheriff Chip Simmons revealed that Donson is suspected of several robberies across the region in 2024 and 2025, emphasizing that his “robbery spree is over” thanks to the efforts of local and federal law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation.
