The Memphis Police Department is investigating a brazen armed robbery involving an armored truck at a Kroger parking lot on Friday morning. The incident unfolded as the Loomis truck arrived for a cash pickup, when two suspects armed with AR-style rifles emerged from a Nissan Murano and forced an employee to the ground.
The crime escalated when a third suspect entered the truck and retrieved two large bags of cash before the trio fled north on Elvis Presley Boulevard. Kroger has emphasized the safety of its customers and employees and is cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. Information on the suspects is being sought by Crime Stoppers.
