Arnold Police Acquire New SUVs and Equipment

The Arnold Police Department recently invests over $674,000 in five new 2026 Chevrolet Tahoes and essential equipment, including radar systems and stun guns, as part of an effort to maintain a reliable and safe fleet for officers. This acquisition, approved unanimously by the city council, reflects a strategic approach to vehicle replacement, aimed at reducing long-term costs and ensuring optimal performance in law enforcement operations.

Chief Brian Carroll emphasizes the importance of reliable vehicles in maintaining officer safety, noting that the new SUVs are set to replace older models that have reached the end of their service life. The department plans to auction the retired vehicles while also implementing a modernized inventory of stun guns, showcasing a commitment to equipping officers with the latest technology for effective policing.
