A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place last weekend in northeast Miami-Dade. The suspects, identified as George Byrnes, 32, and Jessica Clendening, 34, allegedly entered a home uninvited, with Byrnes brandishing a firearm and demanding money from the occupants.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the victims complied and handed over approximately $200 to the suspects, who were detained by authorities early Wednesday morning. Notably, the person they were looking for identified them both as acquaintances, raising questions about their motive. Byrnes is charged with aggravated assault in addition to home invasion robbery. Both suspects are currently held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
