Arvin police recently uncovered numerous illegal firearms and stolen vehicles following two separate domestic violence incidents that occurred hours apart. The investigations began with reports of physical assaults, leading officers to seize multiple firearms, including assault rifles, and confront potential child endangerment issues, according to Police Chief Alex Ghazalpour.
During the first call on Olivares Court, police discovered a cache of weapons while responding to an assault report with children present. Just one day later, another domestic violence call on La Lila Avenue resulted in the arrest of a suspect who interfered with police investigations, alongside the seizure of three stolen vehicles and 24 extended gun magazines. The District Attorney’s Office is now reviewing both cases, which may lead to serious charges against those involved.
