The Asheville Police Department has arrested 29-year-old Christopher Calvin Robinson, who is accused of committing an armed robbery on Monday night. Officers were called to the 100 block of Tunnel Road where a victim reported that he was approached by Robinson, who brandished a firearm and demanded money, resulting in the victim handing over $160 in cash.
Following the robbery, police utilized a drone unit to track down Robinson in a nearby wooded area. During the arrest, he was found in possession of the stolen cash, a firearm, and narcotics. Robinson now faces multiple felony charges, including robbery and drug possession, and he is currently held in Buncombe County Detention Facility on a secured bond of $50,000.
