Police are actively investigating the murder of 58-year-old Adeyemi Martin, a New Carrollton resident discovered shot to death in a Riverdale stairwell on Friday morning. Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive individual around 10 a.m. and found Martin with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives are now working to determine the motive behind the attack and identify any suspects. In an effort to gather information, authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for tips leading to an arrest and indictment.
