Baltimore Man Gets 20 Years for Gas Station Robbery

A Baltimore man, Le’tray Lee, is sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to armed robbery and assault stemming from a July 2023 incident at a gas station. During the robbery, three armed individuals threatened victims, resulting in one cashier sustaining serious head injuries, while the assailants stole cash, tobacco, and lottery tickets.

Authorities tracked Lee through surveillance footage and a witness’s vehicle registration tip-off, leading to his arrest and the recovery of a firearm used in the crime. Carroll County State’s Attorney Haven Shoemaker emphasized that this case serves as a warning against armed robbery, asserting that such crimes will not be tolerated in the region.
