Barrett Firearms has officially broken ground on a new manufacturing facility in Rutherford County, Tennessee, with plans to open the $76.4 million campus by January 2027. The project will add 183 jobs to the local economy, increasing the company’s workforce to approximately 383 employees, and is part of a significant expansion to meet the demands of U.S. military contracts.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, attended by state officials including Governor Bill Lee and Senator Marsha Blackburn, founder Ronnie Barrett expressed optimism about the company’s future under new ownership. The 237,000-square-foot facility will enable Barrett Firearms to enhance its production capabilities, underscoring its commitment to delivering advanced sniper rifles used by U.S. troops and allies.
