Bellingham police are investigating a targeted shooting that occurred early Thursday morning, where a two-family home and a nearby vehicle were struck multiple times by gunfire. Authorities are seeking information regarding a sedan seen fleeing the scene shortly after the incident at approximately 3:45 a.m.
During their investigation, officers arrested a 50-year-old man living at the home on unrelated firearm charges, discovering two unlawfully possessed handguns and other illegal items inside his apartment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as residents confirmed bullet holes in their property later that morning. Police are encouraging anyone with information or security footage to reach out to their department.
