San Mateo police have arrested 18-year-old Carron Patterson following a traffic stop that revealed illegal firearms and narcotics in his vehicle. The encounter began when officers stopped a car with illegal window tint and an expired registration, only to discover an open bottle of tequila and the strong odor of marijuana upon contacting the driver.
A subsequent search of Patterson’s backpack uncovered a Glock pistol with a multi-burst trigger, accompanied by multiple rounds of ammunition. In addition to the firearm, officers found scales, packaging materials indicative of drug sales, psilocybin mushrooms, 17 oxycodone pills, and marijuana.
