Birmingham Police Arrest Two in Robbery and Kidnapping

The Birmingham Police Department has arrested two suspects, 19-year-old Keonte Richardson and 22-year-old Justin Jenkins, within 24 hours of a violent robbery and kidnapping that occurred on March 19, 2025. Officers responded after a man was held at gunpoint, forcibly taken to an ATM, and made to withdraw cash by his assailants.

After a collaborative effort involving the Birmingham Police’s Intelligence Unit and Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies, authorities located the suspects in the Kingston community. During a traffic stop, both men were apprehended and are now facing multiple charges, including Robbery 1st Degree and Kidnapping 1st Degree. They remain in custody without bond at the Jefferson County Jail.
