Now wearing his permit on a yellow lanyard, Sutherland aims to ignite conversations about the implications of allowing blind individuals to carry firearms. He argues that while some visually impaired people can safely handle guns with assistance, the lack of skill assessments in the licensing process is alarming, suggesting that states should reconsider their policies to ensure public safety.
