A Bloomington woman, 41-year-old Nicole S. Trumbo, is sentenced to 20 years in prison for her involvement in an armed robbery that occurred in August 2023. Trumbo pleaded guilty in December to charges that included luring a victim under false pretenses and facilitating a robbery at gunpoint, where a gunshot injury was inflicted on the victim.
Trumbo’s sentencing comes after a plea bargain that capped her sentence and dismissed several other serious charges, such as aggravated battery with a firearm. In a heartfelt statement, Trumbo expressed remorse for the victim’s injuries and her desire for a second chance, emphasizing her efforts to seek rehabilitation through various support programs.
