A 50-year-old Brighton man, James William “Jaime” Benavidez, is arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Keeley Koff, who was 14 weeks pregnant. In a statement to detectives, Benavidez claimed he had been struggling with PTSD and schizophrenia, stating that he shot Koff while they drove together. His admission adds a complex layer to the investigation, raising questions about his mental state and the circumstances surrounding the crime.
