Buffalo Man Sentenced for Illegal Firearm Possession

A Buffalo man, Henry Ford, is sentenced to approximately 11 months in custody plus three years of supervised release for illegally possessing firearms as a previously convicted felon. U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. delivered the sentence following an investigation that revealed Ford had a loaded handgun in his pocket, which was reported stolen from Georgia in 2019.

Further inquiries uncovered a second firearm at Ford’s residence, also stolen, highlighting ongoing concerns about firearm possession among individuals with felony records. Since his previous felony conviction in 2008, Ford is legally barred from owning firearms, raising questions about enforcement and the implications of gun laws in the region.
