The Burlington Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Fairway One Stop on Chapel Hill Road on Friday afternoon. At around 4:14 p.m., surveillance footage revealed two masked men entering the store, brandishing a firearm, and demanding cash from the employees, from whom they stole an undisclosed amount of money.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and the suspects fled the scene in a blue newer model Volkswagen Jetta. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Burlington Police Department at 336-229-3500 or Crimestoppers at 336-229-7100, as community assistance could be crucial in bringing these suspects to justice.
