On August 29, 2025, Carson City deputies arrested Travis Michael Oliver after reports of an armed man at a local casino prompted a quick response. Witnesses inside the casino claimed Oliver had flashed a gun while following a woman who described feeling extremely scared and fleeing to escape him.
When deputies arrived, they apprehended Oliver, who was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of .324%. The firearm in his possession turned out to be a “ghost gun,” indicating it was manufactured without a serial number. He now faces several felony charges, including aggravated stalking and assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $45,000.
