A cashier at the Hebron Dollar General is recovering in the hospital after two women pepper-sprayed her in the face during a robbery on Thursday night. The incident occurred around 9:24 p.m. when the suspects attacked the cashier before fleeing the scene in a silver Nissan Altima, which had a damaged passenger side mirror.
This robbery marks a distressing return to violence for the cashier, who reported being robbed at gunpoint at the same location previously. The Jones County Sheriff’s Department is treating the incident as a strong-armed robbery and is calling on the community for help in identifying the suspects, potentially offering a financial reward for information leading to their arrest.
