The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended two suspects in a major fentanyl trafficking operation following a traffic stop on US Highway 321. Nicholas James Shoup, 35, and Tracy Shane Campos, 32, have been charged with multiple drug and firearm offenses after authorities seized 60 grams of fentanyl, 3 grams of methamphetamine, and two illegal firearms, one of which was reported stolen.
