The Cherryville Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that took place on September 8 at Heafner’s Superette. Around 6:30 a.m., a suspect entered the store, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the clerk before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
No injuries were reported in the incident, but authorities have released surveillance footage to aid in identifying the suspect. Police urge anyone with information to contact Detective Lee Farris at 704-435-1717, emphasizing the community’s role in helping to bring the suspect to justice.
