A shooting in Chester on Thursday night results in one male victim being pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Chester Interim Police Commissioner Katrina Blackwell. The victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and chest near the intersection of Remington and Terrill streets and was transported to Christiana Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
In a concerning development, a second individual with a gunshot wound to the elbow arrived at Temple Hospital shortly after the initial incident. Blackwell expressed her sorrow over the rise in gun violence within the community, highlighting the ongoing investigation and the importance of community involvement to curb such incidents.
