Despite stringent measures, gun culture remains prevalent in Russia, with approximately 4.5 million legal gun owners possessing around 7.3 million firearms—yet only representing about 3% of the population. As discussions on potential reforms continue, notably regarding the legalization of short-barreled weapons, the future of gun ownership remains uncertain amid rising interest in shooting sports and collecting.
