Covington Bank Robbery Leads to Officer-Involved Shooting

Kentucky State Police identify 62-year-old Charles Davis as the man shot by officers following a bank robbery in Covington on Friday. Davis was allegedly armed and seen fleeing the U.S. Bank shortly after the robbery, prompting a swift response from local police who confronted him less than a block from the bank.

As officers ordered Davis to drop his weapon, they subsequently fired, injuring him with non-life-threatening wounds. Davis is currently hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, while no officers or others were reported injured. Both the FBI and the Kentucky State Police are investigating the incident, and the officers involved have been placed on administrative leave during the inquiry.
