A 34-year-old Cresaptown man, Yeshua Jericho Banner, remains behind bars following his arrest in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at a LaVale business early Sunday morning. He was apprehended during a traffic stop on Monday, thanks to cooperation between the C3I Unit, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, and additional support from emergency response teams.
Banner faces severe charges, including armed robbery, first-degree assault, and theft involving sums up to $25,000, among others. Authorities have not yet disclosed details about the weapon used or the circumstances leading to the warrant issued by the district court. His bail was denied after a recent review, leaving him in the Allegany County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
