CT Woman Charged After Fatal Shooting During Movie Night

A Killingly woman, 65-year-old Michelle Yeagher, is charged with murder after allegedly shooting 39-year-old Andrew Michael Olson in the chest while he watched “Toy Story” with a child. State police responded to the scene at a Dayville home, where they found Olson with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Eyewitness accounts indicate that the shooting occurred shortly after the child and Olson began watching the animated film.

According to an investigation report, Yeagher was found intoxicated and claimed to have acted in self-defense, stating that Olson had come after her. She faces multiple charges, including carrying a firearm while under the influence and reckless endangerment. With a court date set for December 11 and a bond set at $1 million, the circumstances surrounding the incident continue to raise questions, particularly about the relationship between the individuals involved and the presence of the child during the event.
