The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office confirms that the July police-involved shooting in Fall River, which resulted in the death of 38-year-old Domonick Knight, has been ruled a suicide. Authorities reported that Knight was armed and making self-harm threats when police attempted to negotiate with him before entering the residence on Langley Street, leading to an exchange of gunfire around 3:15 a.m.
During the incident, Knight fired at officers upon their entry, prompting police to return fire. Knight was found wounded inside and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. An autopsy revealed that the fatal wound was self-inflicted, affirming the DA’s conclusion.
