DC Men Plead Guilty in Carjacking with Ghost Gun Confiscated

Two men from Washington, D.C. have pleaded guilty to armed carjacking and firearm offenses in connection with two incidents that occurred in late 2024 and early 2025. The police confiscated several firearms during their arrest, including a “ghost gun,” an untraceable firearm often made using 3D printing technology, highlighting ongoing concerns over gun violence and illegal weapons in the district.

The first carjacking took place on December 28, 2024, when the suspects stole a Jeep SUV from a parked victim. Just days later, they struck again at a gas station, taking another vehicle at gunpoint. Following a brief chase, the suspects were apprehended, leading to the discovery of the weapons used in these crimes. Both individuals are scheduled for sentencing on August 29, raising questions about the impact of such offenses on community safety.
