Becher’s attorney, Doug Gutscher, argues that no crime was committed, stating, “Despite government’s desire, not everything is a crime.” The sheriff’s department is currently conducting an internal investigation, with a disciplinary hearing planned for Becher, who expressed shock over the incident.
