Dolton police are investigating the shooting death of 24-year-old Contrail Boone, who was fatally wounded near a village park on the evening of May 17. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire at 147th Street and Evers Avenue, discovering Boone, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, pronounced dead later at a local hospital.
Authorities also reported a homicide in nearby Matteson involving 37-year-old Denard Allison, found with multiple gunshot wounds on May 18. While police are currently piecing together the details of both incidents, the nature of the Dolton shooting is described as isolated, raising community concerns about safety and security in the area.
