A domestic violence incident in Fontana, California, has resulted in multiple felony charges against Galo Mejia-Reyes after deputies discovered a significant cache of illegal weapons at his residence. Following a 911 call on August 30, authorities found Mejia-Reyes’ wife outside the home suffering from severe head injuries, prompting a swift response from law enforcement, who later safely apprehended him inside.
During a subsequent search of the property, deputies uncovered several assault-style rifles, multiple handguns, large-capacity magazines, and a substantial amount of ammunition, many of which violated California laws. The Sheriff’s Department has set Mejia-Reyes’ bail at $1 million, while details regarding the condition of his wife remain undisclosed, apart from her receiving medical treatment for her injuries.
