Massachusetts’ MassWildlife has launched an initiative that enables paraplegic individuals like Fred Baker to enjoy hunting, adapting traditional outdoor activities to be more inclusive. After a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, Baker sought ways to continue engaging in his beloved hobbies, from skiing to hunting, showcasing resilience and a commitment to the outdoors.
Participating in the statewide “parahunt,” Baker illustrates how this program not only provides access to hunting opportunities but also fosters a sense of community and empowerment among disabled individuals.
