Treshon Pugh, a 19-year-old from Fall River, is sentenced to 18 months in jail following an accidental shooting that injured an 18-year-old woman. The incident occurred last June when Pugh, sitting in the back seat of a car, discharged an illegal firearm, hitting the victim in the back before discarding the weapon out of the window.
Despite investigations not recovering the firearm, the bullet from the shooting caused the victim to endure a serious injury, leading to long-term back issues. Pugh pled guilty to multiple charges, underscoring the risks associated with illegal gun possession, as highlighted by District Attorney Thomas Quinn III. This case serves as a cautionary tale regarding gun safety and the consequences of unlawful firearms use.
