Meriden police have arrested Toby Brown, a 44-year-old felon, for allegedly storing multiple firearms and over 200 rounds of ammunition in a storage unit. The discovery occurred when employees were clearing out the unit for nonpayment and found a handgun falling from a plastic bin, prompting them to notify authorities.
Upon investigation, officers uncovered five firearms, including one with an obliterated serial number, alongside firearm accessories and a “Glock switch,” which can convert handguns into automatic weapons. Brown faces charges including criminal possession of a firearm and illegal transfer of a firearm, with his arraignment scheduled for November 18, 2025.
