Felon Found with 11 Firearms in Providence Township

A 43-year-old man in Providence Township, Ronald Laughman Jr., is facing 11 counts of illegal possession of a firearm after police uncovered an arsenal in his home. Authorities initiated a search on January 22 following a tip from Laughman’s daughter, leading to the seizure of four shotguns, six handguns, and an antique machine gun—items legally prohibited for someone with his criminal background stemming from a robbery conviction 25 years ago.

The search revealed the serious implications of Laughman’s actions, as his prior felony conviction legally bars him from owning any firearms. Currently released on $25,000 unsecured bail, his next court appearance remains unscheduled, raising questions about public safety and legal enforcement in the area.
