Police in Birmingham have arrested five men, aged 18 to 21, during a series of raids aimed at dismantling an illegal gun supply network. The operation, part of a larger inquiry that began last summer, targeted multiple locations across Birmingham and West Bromwich, revealing significant involvement in the conversion and distribution of illegal firearms.
Among those taken into custody is a 19-year-old who also faces charges for possessing a zombie knife. Officers seized various weapons, including bladed articles and an incapacitant spray, as well as cash during the operation. This crackdown falls under the broader umbrella of Operation Target, which aims at tackling serious and organized crime throughout the West Midlands.
