The Metro Nashville Police Department has arrested five teenagers and recovered two handguns during an investigative traffic stop inspired by a shots fired report near Cane Ridge High School. Following a brief lockdown at the school earlier in the week, police connected a Nissan Titan to the incident and tracked it using license plate recognition technology.
All five teens, aged 15 and 16, face charges for reckless endangerment and illegal possession of handguns in juvenile court. Notably, the vehicle was linked to the recovery of 47 shell casings from the shooting scene, raising concerns about the incidents involving youth and gun violence in the area.
