A 41-year-old Volusia County man is charged with attempted felony murder after he allegedly shot at a woman who mistakenly approached his property while following a friend. The incident occurred on August 31, 2025, when the woman, identified as TP, inadvertently walked up the man’s driveway, prompting an aggressive confrontation that escalated when the man, Roman Rawicki, retrieved a firearm and fired multiple rounds as TP and her friend fled in a vehicle.
According to police, Rawicki, who believed TP was a prostitute, assaulted her before the shooting, injuring her and damaging her vehicle significantly. Investigators found 17 shell casings at the scene, and Rawicki later admitted to police that TP had arrived by mistake. His actions have resulted in several charges, including false imprisonment and discharging a firearm on residential property, highlighting the severe legal implications of the confrontation.
