Fort Myers Man Pleads Guilty to Armed Robberies

Kevoun Watts, a 22-year-old from Fort Myers, pleads guilty to multiple armed robberies and could face a maximum of 20 years in federal prison. The robberies occurred at a RaceTrac gas station and a 7-11, where he brandished a firearm to demand cash from clerks, all while wearing a ski mask.

Authorities from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) linked Watts to the crimes through the vehicle he used for his getaway. His case is part of the nationwide Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative aimed at reducing violent crime. The LCSO’s efforts highlight ongoing challenges in tackling such offenses in the community.
