Fort Payne Police Seek Public Help in Bank Robbery Case

The Fort Payne Police Department is actively investigating a bank robbery that occurred at PNC Bank on Tuesday morning, involving a suspect who made off with approximately $3,000. The suspect, described as a man wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeve shirt, and a black ball cap, reportedly threatened the bank teller with a handgun and provided a note stating it was a robbery. Following the incident, he fled the scene on foot heading north.

Authorities have released images of the suspect in hopes of gathering more information from the public. The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or who has information about the suspect to contact them directly at 256-845-1414 or reach out to the FBI at 205-326-6166. This incident underscores the collaborative effort between local law enforcement and federal agencies in addressing such crimes.
