The recent wave of crime involves groups of two to three assailants approaching victims from behind, brandishing handguns, and forcing them into a car before stealing their valuables.
The robberies have taken place on North Clark Street, indicating a troubling trend as violent crimes in the Wrigleyville area have increased this year, with 32 incidents reported compared to 24 at the same time last year.
