Germany’s military takes a significant step toward modernization by purchasing 250,000 G95 rifles, designed to replace the aging G36 rifles that have been in service since the 1990s. The German Ministry of Defense allocates €765 million for this upgrade, addressing accuracy issues that arose from high temperatures and continuous use with the G36.
The G95, developed by Heckler & Koch, features a robust metal body and advanced aiming technology, making it better suited for contemporary warfare. In addition to Germany’s procurement, the U.S. has approved the sale of additional GBU-39B guided bombs to South Korea, further signaling shifts in military readiness in the region.
