Greensboro Police to Discuss Juvenile Crime Following Shooting

Greensboro Police will hold a news conference to address recent juvenile crime after a shooting on July 4 left two teenagers injured at Center City Park. Among the victims is 15-year-old Jace Crumpton, who has recently been moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility in Georgia as he begins a long recovery process.

The shooting resulted in the arrest of 17-year-old John Mitchell III, who faces multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon. The police are set to provide an investigative update during their Friday briefing, which will also focus on broader concerns regarding juvenile crime in the area.
