Groton Police Investigate Armed Bank Robbery

Groton police are actively investigating an armed robbery that took place at the M&T Bank on Long Hill Road Wednesday afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 3:12 PM, involved a suspect brandishing a handgun before fleeing the scene in an unknown vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Groton Police Chief Luis Fusaro.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the robbery. The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward and contact the Groton Police Department at 860-441-6712, as officers continue their investigation on-site.
