A gun was stolen during a series of vehicle break-ins outside the Rochester Museum & Science Center on October 18, 2025, prompting concerns from local police. Captain Greg Bello reported that 10 vehicles were targeted during a nighttime event, leading to the theft of a legally registered handgun, which has yet to be recovered.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect, who was seen wearing a jacket that belonged to a local soccer club, likely stolen during a prior break-in. Authorities urge vehicle owners to be vigilant by parking in well-lit areas and securing valuables, emphasizing the danger of the stolen firearm potentially being used in a violent crime. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
