Gun Trafficking Network Leader Sentenced to 20-40 Years

Scott Michael Grondin, the head of a multi-county gun and drug trafficking organization, is sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for his role in endangering public safety. A judge described Grondin, 43, as the “puppet master” behind an operation that illegally transported 17 firearms into criminal hands, with only seven recovered. Prosecutors revealed that Grondin solicited others to purchase guns, using a network that spanned Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia counties.

During the sentencing, Grondin expressed remorse and attributed his actions to personal struggles, including addiction and a troubled past. Despite his claims of repentance and rehabilitation, prosecutors argued that the firearms were intended for illicit activities, with evidence of a sophisticated operation that involved obliterating serial numbers to evade law enforcement. Grondin’s girlfriend, Bella Kenna, who also pleaded guilty, faces similar charges, highlighting the extensive reach of the trafficking network.
