Statistics reveal a startling truth: gun homicides among Black individuals aged 15 to 24 surpassed all other leading causes of death combined in 2023. Amid this terrifying backdrop, the Biden administration’s Bipartisan Safer Communities Act aimed to combat rising gun violence, yet Trump has maneuvered to reverse such progress, leaving local populations vulnerable as they experience unprecedented rates of violence and trauma.
